Kenya:
Kenya
is a country in the midst of turmoil. One of the most physically beautiful
and diverse countries in the world, her people are faced with a burgeoning
population, government mismanagement, and a breakdown of vital infrastructure,
all combined with the effects of a two year drought. Current estimates
put the population at over 30 million people, with 45% of the population
under the age of 14. Unemployment is well over 50% and per capita
income has fallen recently to under $600 a year.
NEWS: As calm returns to Kenya, we are planning a mission trip for February, 2009. Watch this space for updates on this visit.
