Kenya:
Kenya is a country in the midst of turmoil. One of the most physically beautiful and diverse countries in the world, her people are faced with a burgeoning population, government mismanagement, and a breakdown of vital infrastructure, all combined with the effects of a two year drought. Current estimates put the population at over 30 million people, with 45% of the population under the age of 14. Unemployment is well over 50% and per capita income has fallen recently to under $600 a year.

The AIDS pandemic has ravaged much of the country, leaving thousands of homeless children to fend for themselves. HCF has taken 57 of these young people off the streets and provided them with the necessities of life and the opportunity to pursue an education. All of the funds we raise support this effort.
