The 5th 2009 Kenya/ USA Bi Continental Run was held at Shoreham Wading River High School (and Meru, Kenya) on Sunday, April 19. |

Brookhaven Town Supervisor Mark Lesko & Kenyan student Oliver Machaka award the medal to the quickest American woman, Dowling College freshman Stephanie Ingenito, who ran the 5K race in 23 minutes, 14 seconds. |

Supervisor Lesko and Oliver Machaka award the medal for fastest American to Dowling College Freshman Jon Cuomo, whose time was 17 minutes 54 seconds. HCF president Larry Hohler looks on. |

Steven Mung'athia of Meru Methodist University finished first in the 2009 5 K Run, with his time of 14 minutes, five seconds. |

13 year old Nancy Kathure, running with the Meru Methodist team, was the quickest female on both continents with her time of 17 minutes, 21 seconds. |
