7th annual Kenya/USA Bi Continental Walk/Run

Shoreham, Long Island and Meru, Kenya

On Sunday, April 10th, the Hope Children's Fund 7th Annual Kenya/USA Bi-Continental 5K Run/Walk began simultaneously at the Shoreham-Wading River High School in NY and the Jerusha Mwiraria Hope Children's Home in Meru, Kenya.

In Shoreham, the first male finishers were students Tyler Keys (18:40) and Dan Purschke (19:05),while the first females were Jackie Bruscello (23:53) and Debbie Schwarzmiller (25:45).

Meanwhile, in Meru, the top male finishers were Kenya Methodist University students Alex Murithi (14:20) and Stephen Mungathia (14:35), and the top female runners were Nancy Kathure (17:15) and Caroline Kawira (17:38).
